Pamela Montgomery, founder of Joy Fields for Kids, has an extensive background in broadcast journalism, having attended both Illinois Center for Broadcasting and Columbia College. Following her academic pursuits, Montgomery undertook an extensive internship at WGN TV, where she worked in tv news as a director and producer of live television. Montgomery directed a community-focused show called 'People to People' and contributed to the production and floor direction of the live broadcast of The St. Patrick's Day parade. In addition to her professional experience, Montgomery worked for nonprofit organizations After School Matters, Community TV Network, and taught tv production at an alternative high school prior to founding Joy Fields for Kids. She partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Mercy Home, Walmart and PepsiCo Corp to provide children with the tools needed for a successful academic school year. Montgomery's passion for serving others is evident in her volunteer work at homeless shelters and group homes, which she began at a young age. She has been mentioned in the Huffington Post, Tribune, and honored by BMW for her commitment to lifting others as she rises. She remains committed to giving back to the community and supporting those in need, both locally and internationally.
